The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, the oldest and the largest among the IIT’s, is one of the premier engineering institutions in the world. Kshitij is the annual techno-management symposium of IIT Kharagpur, which had started in 2004 and has now grown to become Asia's largest fest of its kind. Our glorious journey has been recognized by UNESCO, UNICEF, SAYEN, CEE and most recently Make in India, as they offered us their patronage and appreciated our efforts by associating with our social initiatives.

Online Education

 

While acquiring knowledge from the internet does sound fascinating, it poses some major problems in front of the education department. In the upcoming internet driven era, the problems need to be tackled in a smart way as to make education accessible to each and every individual through the internet.

Students have to write an article identifying major problems online education currently faces and provide smart solutions on how to tackle them.

Students will be judged on the basis of prioritizing the intensity of the problems and uniqueness of the solution they provide.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is intelligence displayed by the machines. The biggest challenge in front of scientists is creating a machine that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal, even better than the human brain.

Students have to write (Max - 300 Words) explaining how Artificial Intelligence will create problems for the mankind.

The students will have to work on different aspects of Artificial Intelligence

  • Identify the major problems
  • Prioritize according to the intensity of the problem
  • Present a precise answer covering all the major problems.

The answer should also explain every problem written briefly.

Online Education

 

A basic education system contains a variety of aspects such as grading system, segregation of courses, etc. The biggest challenge in front of online education is segregating basic courses from the advanced ones.

Students have to develop a stable online education system dividing basic courses such from the advanced ones. The system should contain 4 different stages(classes)

Students will be judged on the basis of feasibility and preciseness of the solution. They will also be judged on the basis of how many aspects they can cover in the given word limit.

Note: Basic explanation of the importance of one course over another will award more marks than increasing the number of courses

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is intelligence displayed by the machines. The biggest challenge in front of scientists is creating a machine that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal, even better than the human brain.

One of the most challenging situations in front of the mankind is the lack of computer power to contain the Artificial Intelligence.

Students have to write (Max - 200 Words) analysing the problem of lack of computer power and predicting till when scientists will be able to solve it.

The answer should contain proper reasoning of prediction, any random and baseless argument will not be accepted.
